It says it might be so it also means it might be not and this was my main driver to seek the road of entrepreneurship - curiosity and the urge to change. Venturing offered me a way to trigger change and feed my curiosity. I have initiated seven ventures, a few have evolved and many have died. Here are a few examples of my most recent ventures.
Impact Circles started as an experiment and turned into an international impact agency. Impact Circles is a consulting agency that aims to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals through entrepreneurial innovation and international multisectoral partnerships. After initiating the organization and building the founding team, my responsibilities covered the oversight, management, and coordination of operation and governance frameworks - including designing the process, securing funding, and funding allocation. I also was responsible for Identifying support needs across all units and recruiting and managing consultants with diverse expertise to grow impact across different thematic areas.
ecars was a transnational digital market place for electric vehicles. It was founded to facilitate the individual eclectic and hybrid car sales trade from Europe to Africa. It was a digital platform that aggregated data from multiple European car platforms and present the most wanted car models to the African market. The pilot was between Germany and Egypt. Despite the high desirability and viability of the model and the increased willingness to buy, the operation feasibility was a huge barrier to growth. Innovation management was the my core responsibility to leading the innovation process of the product and business development.
TTrade was an overseas wholesale trading company. Iit was a partnership to facilitate overseas trade between Egypt and China. The process was y procuring wholesale products from Chines factories and distributing them in the Egyptian market. The business model included supplier selection, product branding, and the creation of distribution channels. May main responsibilities covered the design of business processes, deals negotiations, and branding.
Helpu was an impact-driven startup. We developed a cross-digital platform that connected migrants with volunteers and supporting organizations. I was a co-founder and the CEO and my responsibilities included building and managing an internationally distributed team - 18 team members in 3 different countries: Egypt, Germany and UAE - to develop 3 digital applications. Even though this was the first digital startup experience for the founding team, we had an en enormous national and international recognition and it opened the gate for all of us to the entrepreneurship world.
